OPERATION ALGORITHM OF THE TIMER.
Set the desired air temperature with the help of control knob
of thermostat (operating threshold of thermostat).
Set the required rotation speed of impeller by means of speed
control knob (air consumption). In case if the air temperature
rises with further crossing (exceeding) of preset operating
threshold of thermostat, the automatic equipment shall shift
the fan motor to its maximum speed of rotation (maximum rate
of air consumption).
In case if the air temperature drops below the preset operating
threshold of thermostat, the automatic equipment shall shift
the fan motor to the earlier preset speed of rotation.
Shift delay system was introduced in order to eliminate the
possibility of frequent shifting of fan speed (when the
steady state air temperature in the air duct is equal to the
temperature of operating threshold). There are two algorithms
of shift delay, which can be used in different conditions:

In case if the air temperature rises 2°! above the preset
operating threshold of thermostat, the fan motor shall be
shifted to the increased speed of rotation. The fan motor shall
return to the earlier preset (reduced) speed of rotation when
temperature drops below the operating threshold of thermostat.
Such algorithm can be used if maintenance of air temperature
within the accuracy of 2°! is required. Herein, the fan motor
speed shall be shifted only on rare occasions.

In case if the air temperature rises above the preset operating
threshold of thermostat, the fan motor shall be shifted to the
increased speed of rotation with simultaneous initiation of shift
delay timer with preselected delay period of 5 five minutes.
The fan motor shall return to the earlier preset (reduced)
speed of rotation when temperature drops below the operating
threshold of thermostat but only after the shift delay time has
run out. Such algorithm can be used if precision maintenance
of air temperature is required. Herein, the fan motor speed
shall be shifted more often, than in case of delay according
to thermal sensor, but at intervals of no more than 5 minutes.
MOUNTING, CONNECTION AND MAINTENANCE.
The fans can be installed into ventilation ducts both
horizontally or vertically (Fig.1).
On the suction flange side it is necessary to install the following:
For horizontal mounting option an air duct no less than
1 meter in length,
For vertical mounting option a cover.
Outlet branch pipe should be always connected with air duct.
The mounting process is shown in Fig. 2 7. Air flow direction
should correspond to direction of an arrowhead placed on the
case of the fan.
Connection diagram of VKU fan is shown in Figure 8,
of VK fan in Figure 9. Maintenance (Fig. 10 17) includes
regular cleaning of fan surfaces from dust and dirt while it is
disconnected from the power supply network. Impeller blades
require careful cleaning every 6 months. For this purpose
self tapping screws should be unscrewed and the screen
should be detached from the case. Wipe the impeller blades
with cleaning solutions while avoiding water spilling onto
electric motor.
