CAM settings and reset. The CAM menu depends on the specific module. In the "CAM CONTROL"
menu, all the messages that come from the CAM when it is operating can be displayed; moreover, you
can interact with the CAM with the TPE programmer.
COMMON INTERFACE
Address setting menu in the event of more than one headend being connected to the distribution and
selection of the operational module modes: master, slave, stand-alone.
In order to use the modules in the Master and Slave mode, perform the following procedure:

Make sure that the CAM and the smart card allow the simultaneous decoding of more than one
program belonging to the same transponder
•
Set the receiver in the correct mode (Master or Slave) by entering the "SETTING RECEIVER MODES"
menu
•
Connect the Master Module to its Slave modules by using the supplied flat cable
•
In the Master module, select the channels of the transponder under decoding that you want to sup-
ply to the Slave modules. In order to do this, enter the "SETTINGS – CI PROGR. LIST" menu and
add the channels. The asterisk on the left of the program name (*) 1/N PROGRAM 1 shows that the
program is being decrypted.

Procedure to modify the headend address in the event that more than one SIG9708CI unit is being used:
•
Enter the "SETTINGS" – "HEADEND ADDRESS" menu
•
Set the headend address number by using the arrows or the keyboard.
•
On the TPE display, the word "Wait ..." will appear (the wait can last up to 0 seconds)
•
Scan the modules: SETUP HEADEND --> SCAN HEADEND
•
The TPE checks the headend modules; when the number of installed modules is reached, press the
"X" key of the TPE
•
Enter the "HEADEND SETUP" menu
•
Save with the TPE "S" key.
