Regulatory Compliance: in addition to what is described in the declaration of conformity, we hereby also state that:
- this is an Environmental Class 2 product - for indoor use - and a Class I product according to 300.220-1 (04 /2006) Standard.
Overview
Controller is a small table-top control panel equipped with a large touch screen that is used to control several intrusion detectors and alarm devices should an alarm
event occur.
Controller must be kept permanently connected to the mains power supply and uses back-up lithium batteries in the event of power failure. The large display shows
all of the information that the user needs to be able to use the system. It also supplies the information that the installer requires to setup the system as well as the
touch-sensitive buttons needed to perform such operations. "Controller" does not require wired connections and is easily and quickly installed since device and
alarm (event, tamper and supervision alerts) operations are managed over dual frequency radio transmissions that alert the user in real time of any new event.
Features and Operation. Controller receives the radio transmission sent by each setup detector and displays the detector's assigned name as well as any faults or
intrusion alarms on its display. The control panel manages the transmissions and enables its on-board buzzer sending signals to the alarm devices as follows.
Detectors or sensors. Controllers supports up to 32 Silentron wireless detectors which can be setup according to the required safety features.
The devices transmit their supervisory report, low battery alert and tamper alarm 24/7. Activity in the enabled zones will trigger an alarm when the control panel is
totally or partially armed. According to each detector's setup, the system will trigger either sound or voice alarms.
Alarm devices. Controller manages various kinds of outdoor sirens (Sirenya), buzzers and voice sounders (Hablo), devices reporting operating conditions and
alarms (Displayer), indoor sirens and RX receivers. Each of these devices will trigger a sound or voice (pre-recorded message) alarm according to its features and to
detectors' setup. All alarms last up to 3 minutes, they can be repeated and are stopped by disarming the control panel. There is no limit to the number of installable
alarm devices, but each device will take up one of the available 32 locations as if it were a detector when two-way tamper and low battery alert operations are
enabled.
Remote controls. Controller can be armed and disarmed using PCK HT remote controls (up to 8 different ones). See diagram.
Controller is fitted with an on-board buzzer that sounds together with the other alarm sounding devices when the system is armed. Only Controller's buzzer will
sound during 24/7 reporting when the system is disarmed. All alarm events are stored in the unit's memory and can be displayed using the device's keys.
Detectors can be setup to operate over two different zones, A and B, in order to be able to partially or total arm the system directly from the display. The white
button of the remote control arms A zone, while the red one arms both A and B zones. The remote control also features a the yellow button that can be setup to
arm only B zone (see remote controls' instruction manual). Successful arming is confirmed on the display and can be confirmed also by the unit's buzzer as well as
by setup alarm devices in the following manners: 3 beeps confirm total arming, one prolonged beep confirms partial arming while a distinctive single beep sounds
when the system is disarmed.
Positioning. Wall mounting is not foreseen since Controller is a "table top" device. The unit can be positioned inside furniture (not made with metal to avoid limiting
radio range) if you want to hide it from view. Caution! Controller uses not rechargeable batteries that come into operation in the event of power failure. The device
must be connected to the power supply at all times to ensure that batteries supply enough power.
Technical specifications (see also drawings):
Environmental Class: 2 - The device is to be used only indoors.
Power supply: 230 Vac 50Hz +15-10% 2,5W power use - Back up not-rechargeable lithium batteries (LS 14500): 2 AA 3.6V 2Ah.
Power consumption: 60mA on stand-by when the display is not lit - 100mA during transmission/reception.
Display: one large backlit display showing data that is not encrypted.
Radio and local alerts: supervisory report from external devices – tamper alarm (housing being opened) – low battery alert.
Radio transmission: the device features a microprocessor controlled self-learning management system with simultaneous dual-band digital radio transmission
coded at the factory - features and power supply comply with current regulations. Radio range: approximately 100m in open air without any background band noise.
Device's positioning and/or the area's radio band interference may significantly reduce indoor transmission range. You must always check radio range before final
installation.
