Installation
3.1
Procedures
Install the dryer inside, in a clean area protected from direct at-
mospheric agents (including sunlight).
Y
Correctly connect the dryer to the compressed air inlet/out-
let connections.
Y
For correct installation, follow the instructions given in par.
7.2.
Do not create cooling air recirculation situations.
Do not obstruct the ventilation grilles.
To prevent damage to the internal parts of the dryer and air com-
pressor, avoid installations where the surrounding air contains
solid and/or gaseous pollutants (e.g. sulphur, ammonia, chlorine
and installations in marine environments).
Z
In places with fire hazard, provide for a suitable fire--- extin-
guishing system or equip the refrigerant circuit with a CE safety
valve installed (without shut--- off valves) on the low pressure side
and set to a pressure of 19 bar g, with discharge capacity of at least
0.2 kg/s (R407C). Adjust the valve so that the discharge does not
spray operators.
3.2
Electrical connection
Refer to the electrical diagram (section 7.5)
Use approved cable in conformity with the local regulations and
laws (for minimum cable section, see par. 7.2).
Connect the 3 phases to terminals L1 --- L2 --- L3 of the dryer ter-
minal block X0 and connect the earth to the GND terminal.
Install a differential thermal magnetic circuit breaker with con-
tact opening distance of 3 mm ahead of the system (IDn = 0.3A)
(see the relevant current local regulations).
3.3
Condensate drain connection
Y
Make the connection to the draining system, avoiding con-
nection in a closed circuit shared by other pressurized discharge
lines. Check the correct flow of condensate discharges. Dispose
of all the condensate in conformity with current local environ-
mental regulations.

Starting/Operation/Stop
!
For technical information about starting, operation and
stop of the fridge dryer, refer to the air compressor user manual
and to the control manual separately supplied.
4.1
Preliminary checks
Before starting the dryer, make sure:
a) installation was carried out according that given in the section
3;
b) the power supply is correct.
4.2
Starting
Y
Piston compressor (only INT075, INT150, INT250): if con-
nected with the wrong phase sequence it turns in the opposite
direction, with the risk of being damaged (in this case it is very
noisy); immediately invert two phases.
Y
Scroll Compressor (only INT500): if connected with the
wrong phase sequence it turns in the opposite direction, with the
risk of being damaged (in this case it is very noisy); immediately
invert two phases.
4.3
Operation
a) Leave the dryer on during the entire period the air compres-
sor is working;
b) the dryer operates in automatic mode, therefore field settings
are not required.
In case the high temperature thermostat (ST) or high pressure
switch (HP) is activated, the fridge compressor switches off andn
alarm signal is sent to the air compressor control (KA1).
In case of high dew point warning (B1), an alarm signal is sent to
the air compressor control.
4.4
Stop
Make sure compressed air does not enter the dryer when the
dryer is disconnected or if an alarm occurs.
