When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
1. The powe
r cord on this product is not replaceable by the user. If it is damaged it must only be replaced by a qualified
electrician.
2. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use
of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
3. Boiling water and steam can cause serio
us burns. Always place the appliance on a stable, flat surface.
4. Only use with the power base supplied.
5. Before connecting to the power outlet make sure that the voltage indicated on the rating label, located on the bottom of
the pow
er base, is the same as the supply voltage in your home. If not, do not use the appliance and return it to your
dealer.
6. To prevent electrical haz
ards, never put the kettle or power base in water or any other liquid, and do not allow water to

nter the electrical parts.
7. Keep the kettle and its powe
r cord out of the reach of children and pets. Close supervision is required when the
appliance is used near children.
