1.4 Additional Safety Guidelines
For devices in Installation Categories I and II, never work on
equipment liable to generate voltage peaks (engines, etc.).
For manual-range measurements, always start with the
maximal range. Then select the most appropriate range.
First connect the black probe, then the red probe.
Disconnect the test leads before changing function.
First disconnect the red probe, then the black probe.
Use and install the battery as specified in these instructions.
Verify that power is not applied before using the
functions.
This equipment is guaranteed to be free from any defect in
materials or workmanship, in compliance with the general terms
and conditions of sale. During the warranty period, repairs to the
instrument may be carried out by the manufacturer only, who, at
its sole discretion, may either repair the instrument or replace all
or part of it. In the event that the equipment is returned to the
manufacturer, initial transport costs shall be borne by the
customer.
The warranty does not apply following:
misuse of the equipment or use of it in conjunction with
incompatible equipment;
modification of the equipment without the explicit consent of
the manufacturer's engineering department;
repairs carried out persons other than the manufacturer's
approved service staff.
adaptation for a specific purpose, inconsistent with the
definition of the equipment or the operating instructions;
an impact, a fall or a flooding.
