Notice the "Attach Error files and subsystem logs if any" message together with the Attach
button. This can be used to attach a service report. See the product manual for instructions on
generating a ser-vice report.
Installing PCIe cards
Up to three PCIe cards can be installed in the Vess A2200/A2200s. The PCIe slots can accommodate the
following form factors:
One 16-lane Generation 2.0 PCIe Express slot*
Two 8-lane Generation 2.0 PCIe Express slots*
The hardware installation is similar to installing a PCIe card on a desktop PC. The pro-cedure is summarized
as follows:
1.
Shut down the device and disconnect the power cord or cords.
2.
Remove the housing cover, i.e. the top of the device housing.
3.
Remove the reusable cover for the PCIe opening to be used on the back-plate and insert the
PCIe card.
4.
Replace the housing cover.

Step 1: Shut down system, disconnect power
Before opening the system housing, shut down the device and disconnect any power cords.
Turn off the power and disconnect the power cord before servicing the Vess
A2200 or Vess A2200s.
