5.1.2 Installing the Top Tether
1. Take the Top Tether (01) and, if required, lengthen
the belt by pressing the Top Tether brake button
(02) to release the strap, pulling to adjust as
necessary (fig. 8).
2. Pass the Top Tether belt through the Top Tether
guide on the seat (03) (fig. 9). For convenience,
use the guide which is on the same side as the car
seatbelt anchorage point.
3. Attach the Top Tether hook to the Top Tether
anchorage point which is recommended in the
owner's manual for your car (fig. 10).
Look for this symbol in
your vehicle.
4. To tension the Top Tether (01), remove any slack
by pulling on the free end of the strap until it is
suitably tightened (fig. 11).
5. The Top Tether will be properly tightened when
the tension indicator turns completely green (fig.
12).
