b. Connection of an electric catch or lock
If the installation includes a catch or an electric lock, provide two extra wires to connect the catch to the monitor
Connect the lock directly to terminals 5K and 6K on the back of the video camera.
Caution :
The power supply to the electric catch or lock is to be provided by an independent transformer which
is not supplied in the kit (Extel ref.: WETR 14602).
Important :
It is essential that the electric latch or lock installed has a mechanical memory like all products marketed by
Extel. For the wiring diagram please consult the label on the back of the monitor and the back of the video camera. .
c. Connection of a gate mechanism
Connect the gate motor directly to terminals 5K and 6K on the back of the video camera. The video camera con-
stitutes a dry contact without power for the "push button" command of the automatic control.

USING
Using the video door phone
• When someone presses the external button, the ring tone is heard, the monitor switches on and the visitor's
face appears for 60 seconds. Once the visitor identified, press the
key to communicate with him.
• Once the conversation is finished, wait for the end of the time-delay (60 sec.) or press
• To resume the image press the key .
• A single push on the key
is enough to communicate with the roadside panel.
• The strike, the lock or the automatic gate opener trigger when the button
is pressed. It is advisable to use
an EXTEL strike or lock with call memory (like all EXTEL strikes and locks), it will remain unlocked after the end
of the electric pulse.
