Basic Functions

Metric and U.S. Measurement Scales
Use this procedure to select either metric scale (Celsius for temperature and
meters per second for airflow) or the U.S. scale (Fahrenheit for temperature and
feet per minute for airflow).
1. Turn the unit off.
2. Press the AVERAGE MULTI-POINT button and hold.
3. Press the ON-OFF RESET button and release.
4. Release the AVERAGE MULTI-POINT button after the LCD shows the
measurement scales.
5. Press the AVERAGE MULTI-POINT button to select the U.S. scale.
OR
Press HOLD to select the metric scale.
6. Press the MIN/MAX REC button and release. The letter "S" will appear on the
display.
7. Press HOLD and release. A four-digit number will appear on the display.
8. Press the MIN/MAX REC button and release. The letter "S" will appear on the
display.
9. Press HOLD and release. The display will return to normal.

Measurement Units

In addition to selecting a measurement scale (metric or U.S.), you may also
select one of several measurement units. After turning the unit on, press and
release the SEL: -MPH -KNOTS key to cycle through the choices:
The choices will appear in this order:
• Metric: Meters per Second • Kilometers per Hour • Knots
• U.S.: Feet per Minute • Miles per Hour • Knots
