2. PREPARATION BEFORE USE

Switch the AFL on at the start of the hunt. Depending on the
ambient temperature, it will take up to two minutes for the
AFL to be ready for use. After this point, condensation will
not form on the lens.

3. CLEANING AND CARE

Only a microfiber lens cleaning cloth should be used to
clean the lens.

4. SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS

Warning!
Risk of fire and burns. Never open, damage, or heat the
battery to above 80 °C (176 °F). Observe the safety
information. Only the charger supplied by SWAROVSKI
OPTIK should be used.

4.1 SAFETY INFORMATION

• Only SWAROVSKI OPTIK batteries should be used in the
product. Use of any other battery may result in damage
to the device.
• Please note the distance between AFL and eye.
• Before firing a shot, always check the position of the cover
hinge and make sure the cover is completely open. If the
cover is not fully open, the recoil from the shot may cause
the cover to become detached and result in injury to the
face.
• Protect your device against knocks.
• The AFL is splash-resistant and dust-resistant and meets
the requirements for IP67 according to the IEC Standard
60529 when tested under controlled laboratory condi-
tions. Resistance to splashes and dust is not a perma-
nent condition and may deteriorate over time with normal
use.
