■ Introduction

Thank you for purchasing a Klein + Hummel loudspeaker. The CLS series are elegant slim line column loudspeakers
with integrated stereo power amplifiers and SRS WOW HD processing, including active equalization and TruBass
allowing them to sound like significantly larger loudspeakers. They may be mounted vertically for extremely wide
horizontal coverage across a space or they may be mounted horizontally to provide controlled sound directly in
front of the loudspeaker. The products are cut to lengths which are similar to popular flat panel displays, but may
also be ordered in custom lengths for specific applications.
Before reading the rest of this operating manual, review the safety and warnings section towards the end of this
book.

■ AC Power Cord

The loudspeaker is shipped with both 2-pin European and Edison power cables. Removing the screws and opening
the end cap of the loudspeaker allows access to change the power cable. The power cable end has a connector
which plugs into the socket inside the loudspeaker and may be easily changed without the assistance of a service
technician.
The power supply is universal and is compatible with electrical systems from 100 V-240 V. The unit is always
powered on for as long as it is plugged in.

■ Audio Connection

The loudspeaker ships with a cable tail of stereo RCA/Cinch connectors on the end for unbalanced audio connection.
This cable may be attached to "Line Out" connections on a flat panel display or any other line level audio source.
When using a mono source, connect only the Left/White connector and configure the unit for mono operation using
the DIP switch behind the end cap. The audio level may also be trimmed using the adjustment behind the end cap.
Field wiring or custom audio cable assemblies may be attached directly to the audio terminal block behind the end
cap when using the RCA/Cinch cable tail is not desired.
