INTENDED USE
This universal thread chaser is used for re-cutting and cleaning of external threads on e.g. axle pipes,
push rods and steering rods. The chaser is suitable for different thread sizes, types and pitches,
eliminating the need to purchase expensive tapping sets.
USE
1. Select the appropriate chaser insert (2). When
selecting, pay attention to the type of thread
(imperial or metric) and the pitch size. The pitch
can be easily determined by placing the chaser
insert (2) on the thread (3); thread and chaser
flanks must be aligned (see figure on the right).
2. Place the chaser insert (2) on an undamaged part
of the thread (3).
3. From this position, turn the thread chaser around
the thread in the direction of thread damage (1)
and then cut the thread.
