Non-Ferrous Metal (GKS 66 CE)
Use only a sharp saw blade that is suitable
for the material. This ensures a clean cut
and prevents the jamming of the saw blade.
Apply the switched on machine to the work piece,
start sawing carefully, then saw with slow advanc-
ing and without interruption.
For profile pieces, always start on the small side;
for U-profiles, never begin the cut on the open
side.
Support long profile pieces, otherwise the saw
blade will jam when the piece falls down and the
machine can kick back.
Materials with Mineral Content
(Light Construction Material) (GKS 66 CE)
Only dry cutting is permitted.
Work only with a guide rail 26 (optional extra).
Use dust vacuuming. The vacuum cleaner must
be qualified for the extraction of masonry dust.
Practical Advice
Parallel Guide
The parallel guide 12 make possible exact cuts
along a work piece edge and cutting strips of the
same dimension.
Guide Rail (Optional Extra)
The guide rail 26 enables particularly exact cut-
ting, both vertically and mitred to 45°.
The adhesive coating prevents the slipping of the
guide rail and protects the surface of the work
piece. The hard anodised coating of the guide rail
provides for easy sliding of the circular saw.
For mitre-cuts using the guide rail, a slide
shoe 30 (optional extra) is required, which is
clipped on underneath the base plate 14.
Attach the guide rail with the screw clamps 25 in
a secure fashion.
The guide rail 26 must not extend over the
work piece side to be sawed.
16
Depending on the cut, place the machine with the
first or second groove of the slide shoe (Figures A
and B) onto the guide rail 26, switch on and move
against the material with moderate advancing.

Connection Piece (Optional Extra)
With the connection piece 27, two guide rails can
be connected together. The clamping is by means
of the four screws.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug.
For safe and proper working, always keep
the machine and the ventilation slots clean.
Saw blades that are not coated can be protected
against corrosion with a thin coat of acid-free oil.
Before use, the oil must be removed again, other-
wise the wood will be spotted.
Resin and glue residue on the saw blade results
in poor cuts. Therefore, clean the saw blade im-
mediately after use.
If the machine should fail despite the rigorous
manufacturing and testing procedures, repair
should be carried out by an authorised customer
services centre for Bosch power tools.
In all correspondence and spare parts orders,
please always include the 10-digit order number
given on the nameplate of the machine.
WARNING! Important instructions for con-
necting a new 3-pin plug to the 2 wire cable.
The wires in the cable are coloured according to
the following code:
strain relief
live = brown
neutral = blue
Do not connect the blue or brown wire to the earth
terminal of the plug.
Important: If for any reason the plug is cut off of
the cable of this machine, it must be disposed of
safely and not left unattended.
