9 Mounting the Cutting Attachment
Guard ring for sawing applications

For circular saw blades
► Fit the guard ring (1) for sawing applications.
► Fit the thrust plate (2).
9.5 Cleaning the Gearbox and Cut‐
ting Attachment Mounting
Hardware
Clean the gearbox, the area surrounding it,
inside the grass shield and the cutting attach‐
ment mounting hardware at regular intervals.
Also check for contamination when changing the
cutting attachment and clean thoroughly if neces‐
sary.
► Remove all cutting attachment mounting hard‐
ware from the gearbox for this purpose.
9.6 Block the shaft.

► Insert the stop pin (1) in the bore (2) in the
gearbox as far as stop, apply slight pressure.
► Rotate the shaft until the stop pin slips into
position.
9.7 Mount the cutting attachment.
WARNING
Use a deflector that matches the cutting attach‐
ment – see "Mounting the Deflector".
9.8 Fitting the mowing head with
screw mounting
Keep the supplement sheet for the mowing head
in a safe place.
► Fit the thrust plate
► Turn the mowing head anticlockwise on the
shaft (1) as far as it will go
► Retain the shaft
► Tighten the mowing head
NOTICE
Remove the tool that was used to block the
shaft.
