Fitting instructions
For compression stockings with closed toe
1
Pull the stocking over the lower arm and take hold of the inside of the
heel.
2
Hold the heel firmly, pull the stockings forwards and turn them inside
out up to the heel.
Tip: Use the BORT AktiVen® Special Gloves for the following steps.
Take hold of the overlapping material in the heel area and slip over
3
your foot until the knitted heel farbic is over the heel.
Tip: For the stockings, carry out steps 1– 5 first with one leg and then
repeat for the second leg.
4
Pull the stockings up over the heel gradually and thus simultaneously
back with the right side out.
Then slip the stockings up step by step towards the knee, using the
5
palm of your hand to shape them to the leg. At the same time, never
pull the upper edge!
Tip: Turn the gripping edge (if one exists) inside out before putting
them on.
6
Then repeat steps 1 to 4 for the stockings with the second leg.
Turn both sides back the right way out and slip them up both legs.
Then, adjust the positioning of the fabric with the palm of your hand.
7
Finally pull the body belt up to the waist whilst observing that the
gusset is vertical in the crotch.
Attention: Your compression stockings must never be twisted.
Put the stockings gradually in place from the bottom to the top.
These tips make them easier to put on:
• Put the compression stockings on in the morning, directly after getting up.
• Rough, unfiled fingernails, sharp-edged rings and toenails, cornea and faulty
shoe lining can damage the knitted fabric.
• Please always use BORT AktiVen® Special Gloves for putting on the
compression stockings when getting dressed.
