Position the Upper Housing, aligning its two Notched
Areas, the Six Screw Holes and the Reverse Switch
Hole onto the Upper Motor Housing Flange (Figure 4).

Place the Upper Housing Plate so that the two Notched
Areas align with the two Studs on the Motor Coupler.
Aligning the six Screw Holes of the Upper Housing
Plate onto the Upper Housing.
Securely attach the Upper Housing Plate to the Upper
Housing by using the six #8-32 x 1/2" Pan Head
Screws with Lockwashers (supplied) (Figure 5).

Remove the Hanger Ball by loosening the Set Screw in
the Hanger Ball until the Ball falls freely down the
Downrod (Figure 6).
Remove the Pin from the Downrod, then remove the
Hanger Ball.
Retain the Pin and Hanger Ball for reinstallation in
Step 3.12.
NOTE: Do not loosen the Screw holding the Green
Ground Wire.
