8. Dispensing
8.1. Preparation for dispensing

Observe Operating Limitations and general
safety regulations.
2.
Adjust the length of the intake tube
(according to the bottle to be used) and push
the intake tube into the intake valve as far as
it will go. Cut the lower end at an angle.
3.
Mount the dispenser upon the reagent bottle
and align it with the bottle label.
In case of different bottle thread select a
suitable thread adapter (see chapter 16.2.
Accessories). Adapter of PTFE/ ETFE offer
higher chemical resistance.
4.
Place a suitable vessel below the discharge
tube.
Warning!
Avoid splashing of reagent!
5.
Hold the discharge tube support and carefully
remove the closure cap.
6.
The discharge tube must point away from the
user at all times.
Warning!
Never push down the piston while the
closure cap is mounted!

8.2. 1 Dispenser without recirculation valve
1.
Remove discharge tube closure cap.
2.
Hold a suitable vessel below the discharge
tube outlet.
Warning!
Reagent may splash!
3.
For priming gently pull up the piston approx.
30 mm and push it down rapidly until the
lower stop. Repeat this motion in the lower
filling area of the cylinder until air bubbles
have disappeared from the cylinder.
Note:
Before using the instrument for the
first time, ensure it is rinsed carefully or
discard first few samples dispensed.
8.2.2 Dispenser with recirculation valve
1.
Remove discharge tube closure cap.
2.
Hold a suitable vessel below the discharge
tube outlet.
3.
Set the valve switch to "recirculation."
4.
For priming gently pull up the piston approx.
30 mm and push it down rapidly until the
lower stop. Repeat this motion in the lower
filling area of the cylinder until air bubbles
have disappeared from the cylinder.
5.
Set the valve switch to "dispensing" and pull
up piston to prime the discharge tube.
