chemical filtering, it is advisable to rinse the Mechanichem filter cartridge every week.
b. Clean the inside of the aquarium glass panels with a magnetic brush (not included) to remove the patina of algae (Fig. 24).
EN
c. It can be cleaned with sponges or a wet cloth protecting the fluorescent lamps (Fig. 25).

the aquarium (See Chapter V.i.1).
e. Check the water temperature using the immersion thermometer provided.
EVERY MONTH:
a. Replace the Mechanichem I or II filter cartridge with a new one depending on the type of aquarium (see Chapter VII,
paragraph a).
EVERY 3 MONTHS:

cleaning set. This operation should be done with great care in order not to uproot any plants or leave any roots uncovered.
c. Remove any deposits from the rotor and the pump impeller (see Chapter VII, paragraph b).
d. If the lower pump housing contains additional chemical filter materials, replace them with new filter ones.
VII. MAINTENANCE
Regular maintenance should be carried out in order to guarantee the normal operation of the accessories and the correct
biochemical balance of the water. In the NEWA Mirabello aquarium, these operations are extremely easy and can be carried out
without soiling or wetting any furniture or furnishings. All you need is a container in which to put the material extracted from
the aquarium and a paper/fabric towel.
VII.a REPLACING THE FILTER CARTRIDGES
To maintain maximum performance of filters and ensure the best conditions for the water in your aquarium, it is advisable to
regularly replace the filter cartridges following the times specified in Chapter VI. The Mechanichem and Biofoam filter cartridges
are specifically designed to be replaced with the utmost ease, without having to stop the filter or get your hands wet.
To carry out this operation correctly, proceed as follows:
