8 Cutting Pylon to Length

The instructions in this section are for practitioner use only.
Note: The following instructions assume the use of the male, sliding, rotating pyramid. If an
alternative adapter is required, this should be taken into account throughout the build process.
Use appropriate health and safety equipment at all times including extraction
Be aware of finger trap hazard at all times.
WARNING: Carbon fiber dust is non-toxic but is an irritant to the skin, eyes and lungs.
Always read and comply with local and national Health & Safety regulations regarding
the cutting of carbon fiber.
When cutting carbon fibre:
1. Ensure working area is well ventilated and/or under extraction.
2. Wear eye protection/face shield, dust mask and protective gloves.

Cut the pylon 10–15 mm longer than required
and assemble fitting clamp (941255).

Tighten fitting clamp bolts to 15 Nm
(check each screw at least twice).

Fit socket to fitting clamp top housing and
tighten pyramid screws (15 Nm). Refer to
alignment page for initial setup.

Stand user, carry out dynamic alignment and
walking trials. Adjust height to achieve definitive
length with weight evenly distributed.
