Removing / Replacing Torch head and switch from service Line

Remove tape securing the jacket and control wires.
(note how switch leads are coiled around power
cable and the loop in the pilot arc lead. Reassemble
in like manner). See figure 4- for reassembling pilot
arc lead.

Snap switch band from handle and release
switch, no further disassembly is required
for switch replacement. (see figure 4-5 for
switch replacement)

Power Cable
Torch Head-
Unscrew handle, remove tape that secures both strip
and tube insulators. Remove head from power cable.
(use two wrenches, see warning above)

Pull black pilot arc lead out from tube
insulator to expose knife connections.
Open knife connections. Slide handle
and tube insulator from service line to
complete the disassembly. (see figure
4- for reassembling the pilot arc lead
and insulators)
