Fiber installation procedure in base of use
In FTTR networks, the main use of this register will be through the
direct installation of one or several splitters in the left-hand partition, as
shown in the following image:
For these cases, the F.O. tray is usually put apart, as the splitters are
pre-conectorized. It can be installed more than one optic splitter, always
respecting the limitation of the register.
In FTTH networks, the main use of this register will be by the means
of the access trough the left cable-pass, by making the pertinent place-
ment of the fibers, upon the "removable holder (for fiber anchoring)".
Attachment for central fiber elements
F.O. hoses fastening
trough flanges
For the delivery of the different fiber hoses to the F.O. trays, you can be
guided by the following scheme of assembly and segregation of fibers.
Anchor points for F.O. hoses
F.O. hose
Anchor flanges
Removable fibers holder
Anchorages for
F.O. splitters
Backup fibers zone or for making
input cages to fiber trays
Central element of attachment in the fiber
Independient
fibers
Identifier label of conectors
Fiber optic trays
Unfold the F.O. hose/s (2, 12, 24 or 48 fibers), and fasten it/them using
flanges that surround the fiber´s external protection (outer sheath) aga-
inst the removable fiber support (you can have this removed previously
from the register to ease the manipulation, but you must will have passed
the fibers previously through the access for fiber optic pass located on
the left side of the register) The external protection of the fibers must
finalize afterwards the anchor flanges, running from that point with the
fibers in an independient way (protection of 900 or 250 microns). In case
the fiber hose has micro-modules, a longer length of them will be accep-
ted, allowing to identify the different groups of fibers. In case the fiber
hose has a central element of fastening, secure it to one of the points
created for this purpose.
Mantain a fiber length of 1m (approximately) about the F.O. trays, as a
backup for future maintenance operations or repetitions of fusions. From
the point in wich you fuse up to the SC/APC connector that will place on
the separator panel with capacity up to 48 adapters, you must leave a
fiber length of approximately 50 cm (therefore 1.5 m total fiber from the
input of the register). If you increase these values, you will find it difficult
to manage the trays when you use the 48 connections. Have in mind that
each tray has an inner and an outer spool for the placement of the fibers.
Inside each tray, you will have two splicing drawers (each with up to 12
fusions capacity).
We recommend the use of the protectors Ref. 232701 for a greater work
comfort.
Once you have the fibers fused and located, you must secure both trays
trough the velcro tape included, and proceed to close the register.
