6. TECHNICAL INSTALLATION AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Th ese instructions are for you to perform installation, operating, and maintenance of the appliance.
6.1 PRECAUTIONS BEFORE INSTALLATION
• Th is device is for installation in a location with adequate ventilation only in order to prevent a concentration of subs-
tances harmful to health within the premises where it is installed.
• Th e appliance is for inside installation in a well-ventilated location in compliance with prevailing regulations only.
* For installation on a non combustible surface only.
• Check that the voltage and frequency characteristics of the device are the same as those of the electrical supply network.
• Check that all elements of the device are perfectly located and that they have not suff ered any dislocation during transport.
• Check that the unit has been perfectly placed in compliance with prevailing regulations in the country for which it is intended.
• It is advisable to place the device underneath an extractor to ensure the complete evacuation of combustion gases and
smoke generated during cooking.
• Th e appliance must be installed at least at a distance of 5 cm from its sides and rear to protect it against temperatures
that may be accumulated in the walls.
• Check the dimensions and weight of the plancha appliance before placing it onto the surface destined for its location.
• If the power cord is damaged, it mus be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualifi ed person-
nel in order to avoid any danger.
6.2 WHERE TO INSTALL THE APPLIANCE
•
Th e plancha location has to meet at least the following requirements:
•
It is a completely clean location.
•
It is a well-ventilated area in compliance with prevailing regulations in the country of use.
•
It will have the minimum dimensions needed to accommodate the plancha including the required safety distances in
relation to temperature and fl ammability.
•
Th e plancha shall be placed at a 5 cm distance to other side walls at least.
•
Check that the power socket is close enough to connect with the plancha plug.
•
It is important that the socket is located in a place protected from possible moisture and splashes produced during cooking.
6.3 FIXING THE APPLIANCE
Th e plancha appliance does not require any special fi xation as it can be placed directly onto the level and stable surface.
