3. Intended Use
This machine is only intended for private use, not to be
used professionally. The compost grinder is designed to
grind organic material such as dry plant residue, twigs,
sticks and branches.
The machine is not allowed to be used in commercial ap-
plications. Any use not in accordance with this designated
use shall be regarded as misuse.
This can result in injuries!
WARNING: For your own safety, please read this
handbook and the general safety instructions
thoroughly before operating the unit. If you give
the unit to someone else, always include this in-
struction manual.
4. Package Contents
• Remove the packaging material.
• Remove the packaging and/or transportation protec-
tion (if present).
• Verify that the delivery is complete.
• Check the unit and accessories for transportation
damage.
• If possible, store the packaging until the end of the
warranty period. After that period, please dispose of
the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner.
WARNING: The packaging material is not a play
toy! Please keep plastic bags out of the reach of
children. There is a risk of choking.

5. Operating Instructions
WARNING: You may need help unpacking and
assembling the machine.
After unpacking and inspecting the shredder for damage,
proceed with the following steps:
5.1 Assembling the Garden Shredder
• Turn the shredder over.
• Fold both legs up and insert the supplied axle through
the openings (fig. 2).
• Place both washers on the left and ride side of the axle
(fig. 3).
• Place the supplied threaded spacer on the axle. Then
attach the wheels and finally the safety nuts with the
wheel covers.

5.2 Collecting Container (Abb. 4)

The level of shredded material debris in the collection box
can be checked by looking through the notches on the
upper face of the base frame. Always empty the collection
box in good time to prevent it from overfilling.
To empty it, proceed as follows:
a) Switch off the device at the ON/OFF switch.
b) Press the safety switch down (fig. 4).
c) Release the collection box. Take the collection box out
at the front.
6. Operation
6.1 On/off switch (Abb. 5)
• Press the green button (1) to switch on the shredder.
• Press the red button (2) to switch it off
6.2 Reversing switch (Abb. 6)
A sudden blocking the device automatically (3 sec.) can
change the direction of rotation. The material is transported
back (5 sec.). To prevent damage to the engine, the circuit
breaker (1) the power supply is automatically turned off.
If the cutting blade still jammed after 5 seconds, so that the
motor can no longer run, press the rotational direction switch
REVERSE (2). The cutting blade rotates in the reverse direc-
tion and release the material so that you can remove it. Press
the green START button (3) to turn on the chopper.
6.3 Disassembling
For certain purposes, e.g. storage after use, etc, you can
disassemble the shredder in the reverse order as de-
scribed under "Assembling ".
6.4 Operating Instructions
Feeding
Feed the material to be chopped into the right side of the
feeding tunnel. The material is automatically pulled in by
the chopping knife.

Note: This machine is equipped with an electromag-
netic switch to prevent it from being unexpectedly
switched on when power source recovered.
This shredder has an automatic overload pro-
tection and reverse switch.
Caution! Longer material standing out from the
machine could lash out when being pulled in by
the chopping knife! Keep a safety distance!
Warning! Always use the pusher (Fig.11) if you
try to push the material into the feeding tunnel.
Do not use your hands directly! Keep the pusher
well after use.
