6.2 Securing the Car Seat in
Your Vehicle
FAILURE TO PROPERLY SECURE THE CAR SEAT
IN THE VEHICLE INCREASES THE CHILD'S RISK
OF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IN THE EVENT
OF A SHARP TURN, SUDDEN STOP OR CRASH.
Carefully follow these instructions and those in your
vehicle owner's manual to be sure your car seat is
properly located, positioned, and held tightly at all times.
1. Place the car seat firmly
against the back of a
forward-facing vehicle
seat.
2. Thread the seat belt:
For lap/sholder belt
For lap-only belt
3. Buckle the vehicle belt.
The vehicle belt should
not be twisted or turned.
