WARNING:

product when making adjustments.
0° BEVEL STOP
See Figure 21, page 15.
The saw has a 0° bevel stop that has been factory adjusted to
assure 0° angle of the saw blade plate when making 90° cuts.
CHECKING 0° BEVEL STOP
Remove battery pack.
Place the saw in an upside down position on a workbench.
Check the squareness of the saw blade plate to the base
of the saw using a carpenter's square.
ADJUSTING 0° BEVEL STOP
Remove battery pack.
Loosen bevel adjustment knob.
Loosen hex nut securing adjusting screw.
Turn adjusting screw and adjust base until square with
saw blade.
Tighten hex nut and bevel adjustment knob securely.
WARNING:
Attempting a bevel cut without having the bevel adjust-
ment knob securely tightened can result in serious injury.
ADJUSTING THE LASER
See Figure 22, page 15.
DANGER:
Laser radiation. Avoid direct eye contact with light source.
WARNING:
Use of controls or adjustments or performance of pro-
cedures other than those specified herein may result in
hazardous radiation exposure.
Remove battery pack.
REMOVE blade before adjusting laser.
ADJUSTMENTS
Clamp straight edge to workpiece.
Draw a guideline by measuring 1 in. parallel to strait edge.
Square circular saw against straight edge.
Install the battery pack into the tool.
Depress and hold lock-off button to turn on laser.
Using a 1/8 in. flat head screwdriver, turn laser adjusting
screw counterclockwise to adjust laser to left or clockwise
to adjust laser to the right. Adjust laser so that it lines up
with guideline.
