DECORATIVE COOKER

HOOD
Dear customer
Thank you for buying our cooker hood. Please read this guide carefully so that
you can fit, use and maintain the product correctly. Fitting the product (refer
to symbol on
figures)
Warning: Always comply with local regulations concerning emissions of
steam and fumes. Do not connect the hood to a steam, ventilation or
hot air duct. Check with the local authorities that ventilation
in the room is sufficient. Check that the maximum air extraction velocity for
the appliances in the room does not exceed 4 Pa (0.04 mbar). The room must
have sufficient ventilation if a cooker hood is used concurrent with appliances
running on gas or other fuels. Extracted air must pass through pipes used for
the extraction of steam and fumes from appliances running on gas or other
fuels. Regulations concerning air extraction must be observed.
Use a rigid PVC pipe with a diameter of at least 120 mm to extract steam and
fumes to the outdoors.
The above constraints do not apply to cooker hoods with no steam outlet to
the outdoors (recirculation system with active carbon filter).
Fit the hood according to the template supplied and.
Follow the instructions from the appliance manufacturer if the distance
between hob and hood is greater than that stated on the template supplied.
Gas appliances only: minimum distance to the hood must be 65 cm.
Connecting the hood to the mains
Warning: before connecting: Switch off the electricity and check
that the voltage and frequency match those
stated on the appliance's nameplate.
If the hood has a plug fitted, connect to a plug socket nearby that complies
with relevant regulations.
If the hood is not fitted with a plug, connect it directly to mains electricity,
protected by a fuse which is accessible in the event of power outage and
that complies with local regulations.
Using the hood — safety
Warning: the hood can cease to operate in the event
electrostatic discharge (e.g. lightning). This can lead to a risk of damage.
Switch off the electricity supply to the hood and switch it on again
after one minute.
Never allow children or people with a handicap (physical, sensory or mental)
or with no experience or knowledge to use the hood, unless they have been
instructed how to use it by a person who is responsible for their safety.
Children must be instructed never to play with the appliance.
To avoid the risk of fire, clean the metal filter regularly. Always keep an eye on
pots and pans containing hot oil and do not flambé food under the hood.
Do not use the hood if it shows signs of damage or fault. Contact an official
distributor or an authorised dealer.
Accessible parts can become hot when cooking.
Using the hood-control panel (refer to symbol
The various control panels are described below. Check which panel model is
installed on your hood and refer to the figure stated in each instance.
Panel with electronic buttons (fig.P2)
1- Light on/off.
2- Pilot light for light switch.
3- Hood fan speed button: speeds 1, 2 and 3. Press selected speed button
again to switch fan off.
4- Pilot light for hood fan speed.
Timer: Hold button for speed selected for two seconds until display begins to
flash. Fan will stop after 15 minutes and light will go out. Cancelling timer: Press
button for selected once.
Panel with four speeds, digital display (fig. P3)
1- Light on/off.
2- Switch fan on an off.
3- Reduce fan speed.
4- Panel showing hood fan speed.

Increase fan speed.
6- Activate fan turbo speed.
7- Switch fan timer on and off.
Timer: Hood fan will run for 5 minutes at speed set, followed by a further 5
minutes at each of the lower speeds until it stops and the light goes out.
Touch panel (fig. P5)
1- Display/button for filter cleaning alert. Filter change alert – press to cancel
when filter has been cleaned or
2- Switch fan timer on and off.
3- Switch light on and off. Hold button down to adjust brightness. Switch
fan on an off.
5- Hood fan speed - button: speeds 1, 2 and 3/4
Timer: Hood fan will run for 5 minutes at speed set, followed by a further 5
minutes at each of the lower speeds until it stops.
Slide touch panel (fig. P6)
1- Switch fan on an off.
2- Slide touch panel for hood fan speed. Used with button -3-.
3- Switch light on and off. Press button and adjust brightness using the slide

Hood maintenance
External cleaning: Use non-corrosive, liquid cleaning agents. Do not use
abrasive cleaning agents.
Grease filters: Filters must be cleaned thoroughly once monthly or when pilot
light on display for filter clean comes on to prevent risk of fire. Remove filters,
wash in hot water and detergent. If using a dishwasher, position filters vertically
to prevent solids accumulating on them.
Active carbon filters: replace every three months.

Use bulbs with aluminium reflector when changing halogen bulbs. Never use
dichroic bulbs to avoid risk of overheating.
