6. Installation: Power supply and POE (power over Ethernet) connection
You can choose between a power supply or POE (power over Ethernet).
a.
Power supply
For your camera to work properly, you need to connect the camera cables as follows:
•
Connect the network cable to your network.
•
Plug the camera's power cable in the included power adapter and connect it to a power socket.
b.
POE (Power over Ethernet) connection
The camera features POE (Power over Ethernet). If your router or hub supports POE, you do not need to
connect the camera to a power socket. You can then connect the camera as shown below:

Use a network cable [9] to connect your camera [10] to a POE port of your router [8].
•
Make sure your router is connected to a power socket [11].
Note – If your router does not support POE, you can use a POE injector (not included) to use the POE
feature.
7. Software configuration
The installation method below describes the setup with an iPhone
modem. The installation procedure is similar for iPad
the included CD ROM for more information.
a.
Prerequisites
Before proceeding, check the following:
•
We recommend that you use your own ADSL or cable internet service for easy network configuration.
•
Your camera is connected to your wireless router with a RJ45 network cable, and it is powered on.
•
EagleEyes-Lite or EagleEyes-Plus is installed on your device.
If not, download it from your device's app store.
Note: EagleEyes HD for iPad does not support network configuration. Please install EagleEyes-Lite or
EagleEyes Plus on your iPad instead.
