6. Commissioning, operation
6.9.2 Piston/Spring exit
Pack the exit orifice of the furnace wall with high-temperature ceramic fiber (kaowool)
insulation to keep outside connections cool. Install plate and spring, tighten collar at desired
location. Install split washers and pipe cap.
WARNING!
Ensure that the thermocouple transition does not exceed 175 °C (350 °F), the
transition should be 152 mm (6") away from the furnace entry connection.
