the appliance rating plate corresponds to that
of your mains electricity.
• If the power cable is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, their after-sales
service or a similarly qualified person to avoid
any hazards.
• When disposing of the appliance, please
refer to the chapter "DISPOSAL OF OLD
ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES".
• Surfaces are likely to heat up during use.
• Do not use the kettle when you have wet
hands or bare feet.
• Remove the plug immediately if you notice any
abnormality when the appliance is on.
• Do not pull on the cord to remove the plug.
• Do not let the power cord hang from a table
or work surface to prevent the appliance from
falling.
• Always remain vigilant when the appliance is
on and pay particular attention to the steam
released from the spout, which is very hot.
• Only touch the kettle via the handle.
• Never touch the lid. The water is boiling hot,
so the lid becomes very hot.

• Protect the appliance from moisture and
sources of high temperatures (cooker, oven,
hotplates etc.).
• If your appliance falls or is damaged in any
way, have it checked by an approved service
centre.
• Unplug your appliance when not used for
prolonged periods and when cleaning.
• It is advisable that you supervise children to
ensure they do not play with the appliance.
• This appliance is not designed to boil anything
other than water. Its use is excluded for any
other liquid or solid.
• Your product must be used on a flat, stable
surface.
• This appliance is not designed to be used in
conjunction with a separate timer or with a
control system used at a distance.
• If you accidentally switch the kettle on while
it is empty, the thermal protection device will
automatically switch the kettle off. If this
should happen, leave the kettle to cool before
filling it with cold water and turning it on
again.
