4.1
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS THAT THE CHIMNEY MUST MEET
1.
Only one device can be connected to the fireplace. Do not connect multiple
appliances to a single chimney. Never connect two stoves, a suction hood
and a stove, a second chimney, etc. to a single chimney. See Figure 7.
2.
Use only approved installation material when installing the chimney. The
pellet stove's chimney must be heat-resistant (minimum 450° C). Consult the
rules, regulations, and local/national legislation governing the requirements
of materials for chimney installation.
3.
The chimney and its outlet must be positioned at a sufficient distance from
combustible and inflammable materials. Consult the rules, regulations, and
local/national legislation governing the requirements for these materials.
4.
The stove must be connected to a chimney with a diameter that conforms
to the specifications in Table 1 of this installation manual. Use of a chimney
with a larger diameter that does not exceed 150 mm is permitted, provided
that it conforms with the indicated foced draught.
5.
Refer to the local /national provisions, regulations, and legislation in order
to verify the possibility of positioning the draught valve in the chimney
channel.
6.
Do not install electric cables down the chimney or near it.
7.
The fireplace must be smoke-tight.
8.
The chimney must be vertically installed in such a way that no flue gas blocks
occur. If, however, a part of the chimney needs to be horizontally installed,
the length of the horizontal part should be no more than 2 m and must
slope by at least 5° in the direction of the combustion gas exhaust pipe. See
table 1.
9.
See table 1 for an overview of the number of curves and T-joints, the length
of the chimney and the internal diameter of the pipes to be used in the flue
pipe.
10.
We recommend fitting a T-piece with an inspection hatch on the underside
directly on the stove connection channel. Should a horizontal part be fitted
on the stove connection channel, immediately after this horizontal part, we
recommend fitting a T-piece with an inspection hatch on the lower side.
Any condensation or solids will be collected in this T-joint and can removed
by opening the inspection hatch. The inspection hatch must be smoke and
water tight.
11.
The chimney outlet must be equipped with an approved cover.
12.
The fireplace and stove must be easily accessible for inspection and cleaning
purposes.
