Operating Instructions
WARNING
To guarantee your personal safety and to avoid damage to
the electrical equipment, you must observe the following
instructions before putting circuit breakers into operation:
• The circuit breakers must be used under normal operating conditions.
• Check the ratings of the circuit breaker to ensure that they comply with the demands of the application before installation.
• Measure its insulation resistance using a 500 W megohmmeter before installation. The measured value may not be lower than
10 MΩ at an ambient temperature of 20 °C ± 5 °C, and a relative humidity of 50 % ~ 70 %.Otherwise, the circuit breaker shall be
dried, and can't be used until its insulation resistance complies with the requirements.
• The installation position of the circuit breaker is optional and does not have any influence on its performance. However, the speci-
fied clearance between the circuit breaker and the top, bottom, sides and front of the compartment, as well as the clearance to
other circuit breakers should be maintained for safety reasons.
• The circuit breaker can be mounted on the fixed support or base plate with standard screws.
• Care should be taken that no foreign conductive particles enter in the circuit breaker during installation.
• The conductor and cables used for connecting the circuit breakers must be flat and shall not apply any additional mechanical
stress on the circuit breaker when installing to prevent the circuit breaker and its standard characteristics from being damaged.
• After installing, the following operational tests shall be conducted before its main circuit is energized. The circuit breaker may not
be put in to service until every condition is correctly fulfilled:
¿ Check carefully to ensure that no foreign particles enter the 3-phase conductors or cables. Remove if any are present. The circuit
breaker must be kept in a clean condition.
À If your circuit breaker is fitted with electrical accessories or an electrical operating mechanism, you should connect their auxiliary
circuits in accordance with the diagram shown in these operating instructions, and then check to ensure that the rated operational
voltage of the undervoltage release, the shunt release and the motor comply with the actual supply voltage.
Á Check the current settings of the overload and short-circuit protections.
After completion of all of the checks and inspections, the auxiliary circuit of the circuit breaker can be energized. The circuit brea-
ker may not be closed until the undervoltage release has been closed.
à Manual operating test: Carry out manual closing and manual opening several times. The circuit breaker must operate correctly.
Ä Electrical operating test: Close and open the electrical operating mechanism several times. The circuit breaker must operate
correctly.
