MOUNTING THE POLISHING/SANDING
TOOLS (AC CESSORIES)
Secure spindle 1 by depressing the spindle lock
button 7, provided on the gear case.
WARNING: Never press button 7
while the spindle is still rotating!
fLExIBLE BACKING PAD
Mount the flexible backing pad 2 with sandpaper
8 onto the spindle 1.
Screw lock nut 3 and tighten it by the lock nut
wrench.
In case the flexible backing pad is equipped
with a flange nut, the pad is screwed directly
onto the spindle by a wrench without using lock
nut 3. The pad with flange may be a resin filled
sponge, foam poly urethane sponge with plastic
insert for the nut with hook-and-loop fastening to
the sandpaper or the bonnet.
WARNING: Use only pads with
undamaged hook-and-loop system. Before
starting to operate the tool, ensure the hook-
and-loop system Is not damaged by misuse.
After replacing the pad perform a trial run for
at least 30 sec at no load.
Vibrating or otherwise improperly rotating pads
must be replaced immediately.
CUP/WHEEL WIRE BRUSH
The machine can be operated with cup/wheel
wire brush with thread M14.
Screw the cup/wheel wire brush onto the spindle
1 and tighten it by the wrench.
LAMB WOOL-POLISHING BONNET
(РМB 2030Е, PMB 2230E, PMB 2430E)
Place the lamb wool-polishing bonnet on the
rubber backing pad and check the correct dis-
tribution of the bonnet. Fix the bonnet on the
pad by the cord. Push the cord ends inside the
bonnet.
fELT POLISHING WHEEL
The machine can be used with felt polishing
wheel. Screw the felt-polishing wheel with flange
onto the spindle 1.

MOUNTING THE AUxILIARY HANDLE
The auxiliary handle 4 must be always mounted
on the machine during any operations with the
power tool.
The auxiliary handle must be fastened to the
gear box by both screws M14, tightened onto
the initially placed retaining washers with the
spanner (delivered with the machine).
RECOMMENDATIONS
When sanding and polishing do not apply pres-
sure to the processed surface by rearing down
on the machine but move the pad smoothly.
Maintenance
WARNING: Always ensure that the
tool is switched off and unplugged before
attempting to perform inspection or mainte-
nance.
BRUSH REPLACEMENT
This power tool is equipped with auto-stop
brushes. When the carbon brushes are worn
out, the machine switches itself off. In this case
both brushes must be replaced simultaneously
with genuine brushes at SPARKY service centre
for warranty and post-warranty service.
GENERAL INSPECTION
Regularly inspect all fasteners and ensure they
are properly tightened. Should any of the screws
be loose, retighten it immediately to avoid haz-
ards.
If the replacement of the supply cord is neces-
sary, this has to be done by the manufacturer or
his agent in order to avoid a safety hazard.
CLEANING
For safe operation always keep the machine
and its ventilation slots clean.
Regularly check to see if any dust or foreign mat-
ter has entered the ventilation slots and the grills
around the switches. Use a soft brush and/or air
jet to remove any accumulated dust. Wear safety
glasses to protect your eyes whilst cleaning.
Exterior plastic parts may be cleaned with a
damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary.
