• Disconnect the vehicle's battery cables;
• Connect the positive cable the generator in the battery's positive terminal;
• Connect the negative cable the generator in the battery's negative terminal;
• Start the generator.
• Connect the plug into the generator's 12V DC outlet;
WARNING: Connect the 12 Vcc output to the vehicle's circuit, as it might result in damages to the generator or
to the vehicle.
If the battery requires too much charge or if there is a problem of connections, the switch might act, in this case,
wait some minutes and arm the switch again.
If the switch keeps disarming repetitively, stop the procedure and look for an authorized assistant.
13. Disconnecting the battery cables
• Turn the generator's engine off;
• Disconnect the plug from the generator's 12V DC outlet;
• Disconnect the negative cable from the battery's negative terminal;
• Disconnect the positive cable from the battery's positive terminal;
• Reconnect the vehicle's cables to the battery.
14. Operation in high altitude
In high altitude the mixture air-fuel will be extremely rich. Performance will decrease and the consumption of
fuel will increase.
Performance in high altitude can be improved through the substitution of the gicleur for a smaller diameter and
through the readjustment of the mixing screw. If you always operate the generator in altitudes above 1500m, it
is recommended that you do this substitution in an authorized dealer.
Even with the appropriate gicleur to the work in high altitudes, the engine power decreases around 3.5% every
300m of elevation. The altitude effect will be greater than this if no modification is done in the carburetor.
ATTENTION:
be poorer, thus over heating of the enginge and permanent damage to it might happen.
15. Fuel Recommendations
• Check fuel level through.
• Refuel if necessary. do not put fuel above the nozzle, as indicated below. Gasoline is extremely flammable
and explosive under certain circumstances.
• This generator has an engine lubricated by adding two-stroke oil to the gasoline. Note the correct ratio of
oil at each refueling.
• If the motor is operated with little oil in the mixture it may seize, in case of excess, there may be excessive
charring. Both cases void the warranty.
• Refuel in a ventilated area and with the engine off.
• Do not smoke or allow sparks and flames in the area where the generator is refueled and where there is
gasoline it is stored.
• Do not put excessive gasoline (there must not be gasoline above the filter edge). After refueling, check if
the lid has been properly closed. Spilled gasoline and its vapor might ignite if in contact with engine's hot
parts. If there is spilling, make sure the generator and the area where it is are dry before starting it again.
• Avoid long contact of gasoline with the skin, as well as breathing its vapor.
If a generator set to work in high altitudes is used at sea level, the mixture air-fuel will
