OPERATING MANUAL
If the measured current exceeds the set range over a long period, this can generate heat which
can impair the operating and function safety of internal circuits.
To prevent discharges and/or incorrect measured values, do not perform measurements on high-
voltage cables (> 600 V).
Measuring AC current
Make sure that the test leads are disconnected from the measurement sockets.
Set the function switch to the appropriate range (600 A/60 A).
Set the "SEL" button to AC.
Clasp one of the conductors to be measured with the current transformer (tong jaw). Ensure that
the tong is fully closed.
Read off the measured value
The "True RMS" function can lead to zero compensation fluctuations of up to 30 digits which do
not influence the measured value.
Measuring DC current
Make sure that the test leads are disconnected from the measurement sockets.
Set the function switch to the appropriate range (600 A/60 A).
Set the "SEL" button to DC.
Clasp the conductor to be measured with the current transformer (tong jaw). Ensure that the tong
is fully closed. Ensure correct polarity.
Read off the measured value
It may prove necessary to perform zero compensation before the measurement.
The last figure can fluctuate, this is not an error.
