Heavier paper, humidity or other than rate voltage may reduce capacity.
INSTALLATION
Carefully unpack shredder and connect the power cord to any standard 120 volt AC outlet (FIGURE 1).
Pull open the shredder door and slide in the wastebasket. After installation, make sure the shredder
door is properly closed shut. This shredder features a safety power cut off and will not operate if door
is open. Shredders with pull-out wastebaskets feature a safety power cut off upon bin removal (FIGURE 2).
Caution: MicroShred shredders have very sharp, exposed blades on the underside.

MAIN POWER – This shredder has a Main
Power Switch that which must be "ON" to operate.
To stop the shredder immediately in cases of emer-
gency, position switch to "OFF" mode. This com-
pletely disconnects all power to the machine.

AUTO / ON :
This setting allows the shredder to be automatically started by inserting paper into the shred
opening. The green light will indicate whether if the shredder is powered on. This button turns
off all features of the shredder. For safety reasons, we recommend that you leave the shredder
in the Off position whenever the shredder is unattended or not in use. Always feed the paper in
as straight as possible. When the paper has passed through, the shredder will automatically
stop. (FIGURE 3)
FW ( FORWARD ):
The forward setting can also be used to help clear the cutters in the event of a paper jam. This
allows to manually activate the shredder into cutting mode. (FIGURE 4)
REV ( REVERSE ):
In the unlikely event of a paper jam, the reverse setting can be used to help clear the cutters of
paper that has not passed through. Never attempt to clear a jam by using the reverse function
until you have emptied the wastebasket. (FIGURE 4)
READY : The green LED light indicates the shredder in "On" and ready for use.
