Software description
The Adaptec Easy CD Creator and DirectCD disc contains programs that work
with Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, or Windows NT
4.0. You can use the programs with your CD-RW drive to create audio and
data CDs, to copy CDs, and to make jewel case inserts or CD labels. This
manual will give you basic instructions on using the software so that you can
get started creating CDs. Additional information about the software and how
to use it can be found in the online user's guide on the software disc.
Before you begin
Read the following information before you start your installation. You must
complete the following steps to install the drive:
1. Determine which IDE port to use and the corresponding configuration
setting.
2. Install the drive in a drive bay.
3. Configure the system.
4. Install a device driver.
If you do not understand these procedures or are unsure about your ability to
perform all the procedures described contact a qualified computer technician to
install the Slimline drive for you.

Before you begin installing the drive, be sure your computer meets the
following system requirements.
