USING THE COOKING PLATES
•
Make sure the temperature knobs are in the "MIN" position.
•
Plug the unit into the power supply socket. The lower indicator lamp will light up.
•
Always use flat-bottomed saucepans, which make good contact with the cooking
plates. The saucepan bases should ideally be of the same size as the cooking plates.
•
To heat up the cooking plates, turn their temperature knobs to the right. The upper
indicator lamp will light up.
•
Due to the cooking plates' construction, residual heat will remain after switching off.
This may be used to keep food warm for a short period.
•
After use, turn temperature knob to "MIN" and unplug the appliance.
CLEANING AND CARE
Before cleaning, unplug the appliance from outlet and allow it to cool down.
Inside cleaning of the oven
•
Wipe the tray and the rack with absorbent paper towels or a soft cloth. To remove
baked on food pour a little cooking oil on the food and allow to stand for five to ten
minutes.
•
This should soften the food and allow it to be removed with absorbent paper towels or
a soft cloth. If the above method fails to remove the food then we suggest wiping the
trays with a damp cloth and a little detergent.
•
Never use abrasive products nor steel wool. Never immerse the appliance in water
and make sure no water or damp can enter the appliance. Never clean the
appliance with a steam cleaner.
•
Make sure no water splashes on the glass door when the latter is still hot.
Outside cleaning of the oven and cooking plates
•
Wipe clean with a soft dry cloth.
•
Do not use steel wool, scouring pads or abrasive cleaners.
•
Always keep the cooking plates dry; dampness can cause rust spots. Some special
products are also available for cleaning the cooking plates.
Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.
