Standardizing the Meter
for pH Measurement
Because electrodes vary in their response, you need
to standardize your pH meter and electrodes to
compensate for variations. The more frequently you
standardize, the more accurate your measurements.
For best results, standardize at least once a day.
1. Immerse the electrode in standard solution.
Stir gently. Allow the electrode to reach a stable value.
2. If the display is not in pH mode:
Press the [Mode] mode key to toggle to pH mode.
3. Clear the stored standardization data before
performing a new 2- or 3-point standardization:
Press the [Setup] key and then press [Enter].
Existing standardization data is deleted and you can
select a new set of buffers.
