OPERATING CONDITIONS
Under no circumstances is it allowed to operate a pump with a damaged connection cord or plug. In case any such damage
is detected, they must be replaced with new ones by authorised personnel, and after replacement it is required to carry out
measurements of the effi ciency of the anti-electric shock protection.
The pump must be connected to the 230V/50Hz AC mains with neutral earthing and a circuit protection of a minimum rating
amounting to 6A. The power supply circuit must be equipped with a residual current device whose minimum rated current must be
6A and the maximum diff erential current must not exceed 30mA.
Do not use the pump in swimming pools.
The pump must not be functioning or be connected to the mains, when in the reservoir in which it is meant to be used are people
or animals.
The surroundings of the basket of the pump must be clean, so as to avoid any blockage of the inlet suction conduits.
During the operation the upper surface of the pump must be submerged at least 7 cm below the surface of water. If the water level
drops below this value, then the fl oat switch automatically deactivates the device.
The pump may be hanged only by the holder provided for this purpose.
The pump may remain on the bottom of the reservoir, provided it is on a fl at surface.
If the pump is being operated in a well, the minimum dimensions of the well must be (40 x 40 x 50) cm.
Before any maintenance or current service of the pump, it is required to remove the plug of the cable of the pump from the mains
socket.
The device must not be operated by children or persons whose physical, sensorial and psychological capacities are reduced, or
by persons lacking the required experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised or have been trained. Supervise children
and make sure they do not use the device as a toy.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR OPERATION
The pump may be cleaned solely with a jet of clean water.
In case of permanent installation, it is required to check the operation of the fl oat switch at least once in three months. Adjustments
of the points of activation of the fl oat switch must be carried out changing the free length of its cable. In order to do so, move the
cable connecting the pump with the switch in the clamping slot at the side of the body of the device to a position, in which the
condition of the minimum submersion of the pump below the water surface is fulfi lled.
The free length of the cable must not be too low, since this would imply a risk of incorrect operation (e.g. dry running), and
consequently the danger of damage to the pump.
The pump is equipped with a cutting system placed on the base of the pump, which allows comminuted soft contamination. Do
not hold the pump as a basis, because it can cause injury.
MAINTENANCE AND OVERHAUL
ATTENTION! Before any adjustment, technical service or maintenance operations unplug the tool. Once the operations have been
fi nished, the technical conditions of the tool must be assessed by means of external evaluation and inspection of the following
elements: body and handle, conductor with a plug and defl ection, functioning of the electric switch, patency of ventilation slots,
sparking of brushes, noise level of functioning of bearings and gears, start-up and smoothness of operation. During the guarantee
period, the user cannot dismantle the electric tools or change any sub-assemblies or elements, since it will cancel any guarantee
rights. All irregularities detected at overhaul or during functioning of the tools are a signal to have the tool repaired at a service
shop. Once the functioning has been concluded, the casing, ventilation slots, switches, additional handle and protections must be
cleansed with a stream of air (at a pressure not exceeding 0.3 MPa), with a brush or a cloth without any chemical substances or
cleaning liquids. Tools and handles must be cleansed with a clean cloth. If the pump failure requires any manufacturer's service,
thoroughly clean the pump of all impurities. The manufacturer reserves the right to reject the pump which is dirty. Please note that
the transport of impurities may be subject to separate legal regulations.
