6. Wear a dust mask or a respirator with dual filter (dust and smoke). These masks and
replaceable filters are available in stores or hardware stores. Make sure that the mask
fits and there is no leak that could affect your health. The beard and facial hair do not
allow the masks to be properly sealed. Change filters frequently. DISPOSABLE PAPER
MASKS ARE NOT SUITABLE because they are not airtight and the operator is exposed
to fumes that can hazardous for health.
7. Be cautious when operating the hot air gun, as excessive heat will generate fumes
that can be inhaled by the operator.
8. Keep food and drinks out of the work area. Wash your hands, arms, face and rinse
your mouth before eating or drinking. Do not smoke, chew gum or tobacco in the work

plastic bag, close it with tape or tie it from the tips and dispose of it properly.
11. Take your protective clothing and work shoes off in the work area so that you do not
carry dust to the rest of the house. Wash work clothes separately. Wipe the shoes with
a wet cloth and then wash them along with the work clothes. Wash your hair and body
thoroughly with soap and water.
