TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM: Water leaking, wet air, and/or loose tips, indicates either:
a.) Center hole of Sani-Tip disposable tip is not fully seated over water spindle inside new adapter.
b.) Correct Sani-Tip Conversion Kit is not properly installed, and/or missing parts; thumb nut has not
been fully tightened, or incorrect tips are being used.
c.) Internal water spindle is damaged.
SOLUTION:
a.) Loosen thumb nut, when interchanging Sani-Tip disposable tip. Insert new tip and push into adapter
as far as possible. While still pushing inward, twist tip 1/2 turn clockwise to create a watertight seal
over internal tapered water spindle. Tighten thumb nut.
b.) Make sure correct Sani-Tip Conversion Kit is properly installed. Confirm presence of plastic cone
and all o-rings. Fully tighten thumb nut after inserting new tip. Verify tips are clear plastic and manu-
factured by DENTSPLY Professional for the Sani-Tip
c.) If internal water spindle inside Sani-Tip is damaged, replace adapter.
