Avoid applications over recent injuries, whether or not infected by the production risk of burns. Be very
careful in the application of recent and skin grafts, and, similarly, on infected skin lesions (risk of
exacerbation of these) in peripheral vascular disease or any condition that affects the distribution of
internal heat.
