MAINTENANCE OF THE UMBRELLA FABRIC
1. Clean the stains on the cloth, using a clean,
absorbent cloth.
2. For general maintenance, use a soft brush to
remove dust or dry soil, or rinse often with clean,
warm water so that dirt does not take root in the
fabric. Allow the fabric to dry naturally before closing
the umbrella.
3. If radical cleaning is necessary, clean with a
sponge using a mild neutral soap solution (2%
solution). Rinse the cloth thoroughly and thoroughly to
remove soap residue.
4. Never use detergents and solvents. Grease and oil
stains can be removed using suitable stain removers
suitable for polyester fabric with an absorbent cloth.
5. It is recommended to clean the beach umbrella
very frequently, if installed in a place where it is
subject to becoming dirty easily.
MAINTENANCE OF THE UMBRELLA STRUCTURE
AND SCREWS
1. Clean the side post and aluminium frame with a jet
of water periodically, and more often if the umbrella
has been installed in a marine or industrial
environment. Do not use aggressive soaps or sea
water.
2. Check the assembly of the screws on the base and
tighten periodically if necessary.
3. Lubricate the rail, to make it easier to slide on the
side post. Teflon lubricating sprays are
recommended, repeat the operation at least 3-4 times
a year.
WARRANTY
The warranty covers any defects found in the materials, in the construction of the components of
SHADE PRO from the date of purchase. The warranty covers any significant discolouration of the
fabric of the umbrella.
The warranty is valid for 2 years from the date of purchase of the product.
If defects are found during the warranty period, Emu Group S.p.A. will examine the product and
assess whether the problem is covered by the warranty. Following the examination of the product,
Emu Group S.p.A. will repair the same if defective or replace it with an equal or comparable
product, in its opinion, in compliance with the regulations in force.
The warranty is valid from the date of purchase of the product and you must show the original
receipt of the product.
The warranty does not apply to products that have been stored or assembled incorrectly, used
incorrectly, tampered with, altered or cleaned using unsuitable procedures or products. The
warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts, scratches or damage caused by impacts,
accidents, lack of maintenance and improper use of the product. The warranty does not cover
accidental damage due to weather conditions.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Check periodically (at least every week) all moving parts and the various joints of the SHADE PRO.
Do not place the base of the SHADE PRO on: mobile or raised pedestals, trolleys with wheels,
inclined planes and any type of unstable ground. If it is essential to place the umbrella on an
inclined plane, the product must be anchored to the floor.
It is necessary to place the SHADE PRO inside safe and risk-free areas.
Never leave the SHADE PRO open unattended, even in the absence of wind.
If the ballast shows signs of deterioration, replace the deteriorated parts. Do not use the SHADE
PRO with missing or damaged ballast parts.
Do not allow children or unskilled persons to use the components of the umbrella, so that they do
not become dangerous due to improper use.
Emu Group S.p.A. does not assume any liability if, due to improper use, incorrect installation or
non-observance of these conditions, damage is caused to property, persons or the umbrella itself.
WIND RESISTANCE GUIDELINES OF THE SHADE UMBRELLA:
Light to moderate winds.
Once the SHADE PRO umbrella has been correctly installed, it is suitable for use in light to
moderate wind conditions in the position with the sheet open. Please follow these guidelines:
1. When the wind becomes stronger or before uncertain and worrying weather conditions, the
umbrella must be closed, lowered and tied to the side pole.
2. The umbrella must be kept in a closed position and tied to the central post when not in use.
3. Before or during extremely severe weather conditions, it is advisable to remove and protect the
entire SHADE PRO umbrella including the structure indoors.
