First use

− Remove the battery from the trimmer if
it is dead. Also remove the battery if you
do not intend to use the trimmer for a
prolonged period. Otherwise the battery
may leak and cause damage.
− Remove the battery before disposing of
the trimmer.

Risk of damage!
If you are not cautious when opening the
packaging with a sharp knife or other
pointed or sharp object, you may quickly
damage the trimmer.
− For this reason, be very careful when
opening the package.
1. Check to make sure that all components and acces-
sories have been received (see Fig. A).
2. Take the trimmer out of the packaging and check
whether the trimmer or the individual parts exhibit
damages. If this is the case, do not use the trimmer.
