Additional function: Cooling
• To use the cooling function, leave the
included cooling compress in the
freezer briefly (max. 30 minutes) or
simply in the fridge. An excessively
long cooling period in the fridge is not
recommended as the temperature
could then drop too low and injuries or
frostbite could occur.
• After successful cooling, the cooling
compress (Fig. 7) can simply be
fastened to the black inner side of the
brace (the blue inner side of the
cooling compress is left facing you).
Warning!
Ensure that an underlay (thin towel or
piece of clothing) is always present
between the skin and the cooling
compress. The length of time and
frequency of the cooling phases must
always be specified by the treating
doctor and should not last longer than a
max. of 30 minutes.
Additional function: Compression
• To apply compression, attach the tube
to the valve (upper right) (Fig. 8).
• Switch the valve to "ON" (Fig. 9).
• Pump carefully until you have
achieved the desired level of compres-
sion (Fig. 10). After filling has been
completed, switch the valve to "OFF".
• To let some air out, you can press the
button on the pump (Fig. 11).
• If you want to let all of the air out,
remove the tube and set the valve
setting to "ON". Now the air can
escape again.
Warning!
Do not overfill the air chamber.
Excessive pressure can cut off the blood
vessels and can lead to decreased
circulation of blood and other fluids.
