MINERAL BUILD-UP
The best way to minimize mineral build-up is to use distilled or de-mineralized water when
using your Element Steam Humidifier. In addition, it is recommended the heat element and
silicone parts be cleaned at least weekly in order to remove any deposits that form. This will
help to extend the life of the product and keep it functioning at its maximum potential.
REMOVE MINERAL BUILD-UP
1. Turn humidifier off and unplug. Disassemble humidifier as outlined in CLEANING.
2. Once cooled, remove silicone parts (heat element cover, reservoir and boil chamber) and
clean with warm water and a mild detergent. Undiluted white vinegar may also be used for
cleaning these parts.
3. Wipe off the heat element with a wet cloth. If needed, you can soak heat element in 12
oz. of white vinegar for 20-30 minutes and scrub with a soft brush or soft cloth to remove
mineral deposits. Rinse heat element with warm water until you cannot detect any vinegar
odor.
4. If mineral build-up is found on the heat element or silicone parts and needs cleaning, it can
generate the A2 Attention Code.
