Possible Cause
The unit is unplugged.
The fuse is blown/ circuit breaker is
t ripped.
Power Failure.
The current int errupt er device is
t ripped.
Indoor airflow is rest rict ed.
The t emp cont rol may not be set
properly.
The air filt er is dirt y.
The room may have been hot.
Cold air is escaping.
Cooling coils have iced up.
Ice blocks t he air flow and st ops
t he air condit ioner from cooling t he
room.
Hot , humid weat her.
The air condit ioner is not t ilt ed t o
t he out side.
Moist ure removed from air and drain
int o base pan.
What To Do
Make sure t he air condit ioner plug is pushed complet ely int o
t he out let .
Check t he house fuse/ circuit breaker box and replace t he fuse
or reset t he breaker.
The unit will aut omat ically rest art in t he set t ing last used aft er
t he power is rest ored.
There is a prot ect ive t ime delay (approximat ely 3 minut es) t o
prevent t ripping of t he compressor overload. For t his reason,
t he unit may not st art normal cooling for 3 minut es aft er it is
t urned back on.
Press RESET but t on locat ed on t he power cord plug.
If t he RESET but t on will not st ay engaged, discont inue use of
t he air condit ioner and cont act a qualified service t echnician.
Make sure t here are not curt ains, blinds or furnit ure blocking
t he front of t he air condit ioner.
Turn t he t emperat ure cont rol t o a higher number.
Clean t he filt er at least every 30 days. See Care and Cleaning
sect ion.
When t he air condit ioner is first t urned on, you need t o allow
t ime for t he room t o cool down.
Check for open furnace regist ers and cold air ret urns.

Set t he mode cont rol t o High Fan or High Cool wit h t he
t emperat ure set t ing as high as it can be set .
This is normal.
For proper disposal, make sure t he air condit ioner slant s
slight ly from t he case front t o t he rear.
This is normal for a short period in areas wit h lit t le humidit y;
normal for a longer period in very humid areas.
