10 Cleaning and maintenance

This chapter contains important
information on the cleaning and
maintenance of the appliance. Observe
the instructions to avoid damage due to
incorrect cleaning of the appliance and to
ensure trouble-free operation.
Safety instructions
Observe the following safety instructions
before starting to clean the appliance:
• Switch off the appliance and
remove the plug from the plug
socket before cleaning.
• Use a soft cloth to clean the
appliance.
• The coffee grinder, cover, whisk
and base are not dishwasher safe.
• Never use solvents, abrasive
cleaners or alcohol to clean the
appliance.
• Do not clean the appliance with
flammable cleaning agents.
• If the appliance has not been used
for a long time, clean it thoroughly
before using it again.
Cleaning
1. Disconnect the mains plug before
cleaning. To protect against
electric shock, do not immerse
the cable, plug or appliance in
water or liquids.
2. Remove residues of ground coffee
with the brush. Do not touch the
blade as it is sharp.
3. To remove residue or aromas
from nuts, grind a tablespoon of
baking soda and wipe thoroughly.
4. All removable parts are
dishwasher safe. Always place the
parts to be cleaned in the upper
basket. Never immerse the
housing in water or other liquids.
5. Clean the housing with a soft
cloth.

lays down the regulations for proper
disposal of the product. Environmentally
friendly disposal prevents possible
negative impacts on health that could be
caused by improper disposal. The symbol

that this product must not be disposed of
with the normal domestic waste. The
user must return the product to a
collection point for the recycling of
electrical and electronic waste.
