Installation – Windows
1. Insert the Drivers & Utilities CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
2. Insert the controller card into an empty ExpressCard/34 or 54mm slot.
3. When the card is detected, install the driver from the Drivers & Utilities CD-ROM.
4. Use an eSATA, USB or eSATA-USB 2-in-1 cable (not included) to connect an external
SATA/SATA II, USB 2.0, or eSATA-USB 2-in-1 device.
Installation – Mac
1. Insert the Drivers & Utilities CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
2. Launch the installer tool on the CD (the *.pkg file) and follow the installation steps.
3. Insert the controller card into an empty ExpressCard/34 or 54mm slot and use an eSATA, USB,
or eSATA-USB 2-in-1 cable (not included) to connect an external SATA/SATA II, USB 2.0, or
eSATA-USB 2-in-1 device.
Troubleshooting
If you experience problems with your LaCie eSATA/USB 2-in-1 ExpressCard 34:
1. Make sure you have installed the driver for the controller card according to the installation
procedure (see above).
2. If an older version driver is installed previously, uninstall the old driver and install the included
driver according to the procedure described above.
3. If a driver for a similar product is installed, uninstall the similar driver and install the included
driver according to the procedure described above.
4. If none of the above issues are present, or if the driver has been installed properly and the
controller card is still not functioning, the controller card may be defective. Please contact
LaCie Customer Support.
